MoU Between PSMTI and GP Ansor Emphasizes Unity and Collaboration

Unity and collaboration were the two key messages echoed during the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Paguyuban Sosial Marga Tionghoa Indonesia (PSMTI) and the Gerakan Pemuda Ansor (GP Ansor) at the Joint Lunar New Year Celebration at Petak Enam in Chandra on February 15, 2025.

The series of Lunar New Year celebrations began with the singing of Indonesia Raya by approximately 400 attendees. This was followed by a speech from the President of the Asian Chinese Youth Association (ACYA), Tjam Helga, who emphasized that culture must be preserved and passed down to remain eternal. Culture, he said, is an everlasting legacy from our ancestors that must be safeguarded.

The event was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia, Ni Luh Enik Ermawati, commonly known as Ni Luh Puspa, who expressed her appreciation for this collaboration.

On the same occasion, the Chairman of the Paguyuban Sosial Marga Tionghoa Indonesia, Wilianto Tanta, expressed his pride in seeing young people joining hands to organize the Lunar New Year celebration without regard to differences in background.

After the MoU signing, the Chairman of GP Ansor, Addin Jauharudin, stated that this partnership is highly strategic in fostering unity. He emphasized that youth, as pillars of the nation, must be able to collaborate with one another so that these pillars remain strong in supporting Indonesia.
